Father Matthieu Raffray: "As a Christian, I believe that there is only one religion, one truth, and one path: Christ himself. Thus, naturally, every Christian wishes for people to turn to Christ, to get to know Jesus Christ, and for all false religions to gradually disappear.”
Protestant Prayer and the Catholic Mass as “Different Pathways to God”: “Catholic” U.S. Vice President JD Vance appeared to relativize the Catholic Church and the Eucharist during a June 16 interview on Fox & Friends. Speaking about what he called the strength of “the American church,” Vance emphasized the diversity of [contradicting] Christian denominations: “You can't be an American Catholic or an American Pentecostal or an American Southern Baptist without running into someone who has a slightly different perspective on faith.” He added: “It's all about Jesus.” Vance sees "different ways" by which people find God: “Different ways, sometimes with 'snake handlers' [evangelicals in Kentucky], sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass, but I think all these pathways really matter and they're part of the reason why we do find our path to God.”
JD Vance: "One of the things I love about the American church is there are all of these different pathways to God ... sometimes with snake handlers, sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass. But I think all of these pathways really matter."
How sickening and so very sad. Another branch of Christianity? All these different pathways? There is only one Christian Faith. The Catholic Faith. What is wrong with his mother? Every protestant cult, and it's said there are about 100,000 of them, have a different Christ with their teachings. Then each person within those 100,000 cults also has their own Christ. Taking what they want and changing and denying what they don't want. Many take one thing from one of their cults, another from another cult and so on. They are all scattered and confused. Nothing but demonic chaos. My nephew last year told me 5 new protestant buildings went up on his block alone!

Leo XIV Against Remigration of Migrants: Asked about “remigration” of immigrants, Pope Leo XIV replied on Tuesday in Castel Gandolfo: “Simply saying, ‘We send them away, and then the problem is off our hands,’ does not seem to me to be the most Christian response.” He said migrants should be respected as persons, their reasons for leaving considered, and their cases examined individually.
Sulla questione remigrazione, esorta a trattare “con rispetto ogni persona”: “Dire mandiamo via, così ci laviamo le mani, non mi sembra una risposta cristiana”.

This month, the #WeCount project by the Society of Family Planning released final abortion estimates for calendar year 2025. Unfortunately, the news is not particularly good for pro-lifers. The Society of Family Planning estimates that 1,126,760 abortions took place in calendar year 2025. This represents a 1.6 percent increase from 2024. Overall, the Society of Family Planning numbers are broadly consistent with the abortion estimates that have been released by the Guttmacher Institute. Unsurprisingly, the #WeCount figures show that telehealth abortions are playing a large role in this abortion increase. REACH PRO-LIFE PEOPLE WORLDWIDE! Advertise with LifeNews to reach hundreds of thousands of pro-life readers every week. Contact us today. Overall, in calendar year 2025, 28 percent of all abortions took place by telehealth. Leo XIV to the FSSPX: "Do Not Do This": On Tuesday evening in Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV was asked about the the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). He replied: "We have invited them, and I am still considering making another appeal, saying: 'Do not do this. Let us try to live in communion within the Church.' But it is their choice. One must realize what it means for them and for the Church. Certainly, division among Christians is always something painful. However, they refuse to accept certain fundamental elements of the Church, beginning with several points of the Second Vatican Council. If they make that choice, I am sorry, but we must move forward."

Rorate-Caeli.blogspot.com published on June 16 a report about a recent pilgrimage in Italy with a priest of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP). - This group was denied the celebration of Mass at the Shrine of San Giovanni Rotondo (Padre Pio) and instead celebrated Mass in a hotel basement. - At the Basilica in Assisi, they were also denied permission to celebrate Mass in Latin, and they noted that an Orthodox Divine Liturgy was taking place at the same time. - At Loreto, the group was initially denied permission to celebrate Mass, but the priest was finally able to convince the local authorities. However, in Loreto, there was a station for 'Dialogue and Listening' (pictured). Rather than a priest, a nun was 'listening' without a veil and wearing some kind of Roman collar. #newsWfzjowokcn
NATO and the US will not learn till it's too late for them. Constantly provoking Russia and Putin. Russian diplomats also recalled the Soviet Union’s role in World War II, noting that “Russia has a historical experience of liberating camps in Europe and rescuing their prisoners from the atrocities of Nazi henchmen.” It is “regrettable” that similar ideas “still arise in the 21st century,” it added. “The ‘hotheads’ should understand: if Europe unleashes a war against Russia, prisoner-of-war camps will certainly be of no use there.”

Consistory Run Like the Synod: Only two hours are reserved for open interventions during the Consistory on 26–27 June. The majority of the meeting is structured around small-group discussions. The cardinals are divided into 20 groups, each of which prepares a written report. Only nine groups are scheduled to present their reports in the plenary session. Discussion of the Just War doctrine was anticipated based on earlier Vatican communications, but it is absent from the final agenda. Cardinals can communicate directly with Leo XIV via an email address provided for this purpose.
Israel’s entire political, defense and media establishment is foaming at the mouth over the Iran deal, calling Trump a traitor and going after Netanyahu for kicking off the disastrous misadventure in the first place. But in the prime minister’s inner circle, ministers vow to fight on, alone if necessary, as Trump signals he’s done. “Israel reserves the right to act independently against Iran’s nuclear program” and won’t withdraw from occupied Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank, Defense Minister Katz declared. “Trump’s agreement does not bind us,” National Security Minister Ben-Gvir assured. “We will have to continue the campaign to topple the regime ourselves and in creative ways,” Finance Minister Smotrich tweeted. Bad idea A one-on-one war between Israel and Iran wouldn’t just end in tears for Tel Aviv. It would threaten the Jewish State with a disaster on a biblical scale: The Israeli Air Force is hopelessly dependent on US aerial refueling support for strike …ပိုမို

US’ First Pope Pays Homage to Its First Saint [the first American Pope was Pope Francis] June 17, 2026, .nytimes.com/…06/17/opinion/pope-leo-cabrini-ameri… By Kathleen Sprows Cummings Dr. Cummings is a historian of Catholicism. On Saturday, Pope Leo XIV plans to visit the northern Italian village of Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, where he will venerate a saint close to his heart: Mother Frances Cabrini, who was born there in 1850 and died in 1917 in Chicago, the pope’s hometown. When the Catholic Church canonized Cabrini 29 years later — speedy for a painstaking process that can last centuries — she became the first US saint. [St Felipe de Jesús was the first St. from the Americas: Canonized on 8 June 1862] Leo’s visit would seem to be a ready-made occasion for a celebration of Catholicism in the United States, but that would miss the point. Leo and Cabrini are linked by something far more profound than their common U.S. citizenship: a shared global sensibility, developed by their own …ပိုမို

Cardinal Camillo Ruini, an influential churchmen in Italy, died in Rome on the evening of June 16 at age 95. Born in Sassuolo, in the province of Modena, Ruini was ordained a priest in 1954. He became auxiliary bishop of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla in 1983 and secretary-general of the Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI) in 1986. He held the Rome vicariate until 2008 and led the bishops’ conference until 2007. He became, for nearly two decades, one of the closest collaborators of both John Paul II and later Benedict XVI. Sirach 48:1-14 "The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha." Elisha receives the Spirit of mission and evangelization from the One who Works, God. Matthew 6:7-15 The Lord's Prayer is a masterpiece. The name of God is holy, but we want to improve ourselves and remain in God's holiness. The reign of God is now, since Christ is King and He lives in the Kingdom. We want to live in the Kingdom, in God, now. Allowing ourselves to be loved by God draws us away from sin and evil. The joy of the child within us is a guiding light to lead us into the Heart of God.
