“Encounter” (Encontro) is a white-marble sculpture by Portuguese architect and artist Álvaro Siza Vieira, unveiled in the Vatican Gardens on September 24. It was previously displayed as part of the Holy See Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Biennale.
