Not Homosexuals, Catholics Must "Repent" - German 🌈 Bishop

Auxiliary Bishop Ludger Schepers of Essen, the German Bishops' Conference's commissioner for homosexual propaganda, has urged Catholic parishes to become places where homosexuals can live "without fear".
Writing on Kirche-und-Leben.de on August 2, Bishop Schepers commented on the recent deadly attack during Berlin's homosexual march.
"Our parishes must be places where every person is welcome and experiences the inalienable dignity that God has given them. No one should ever have to fear prejudice, distrust, or rejection because of their sexual orientation or gender identity."
He attacked the Church, claiming gratuitously that she "has not always been a safe place for queer people," adding that biblical passages had too often been taken "out of context" and used against them.
Ludger Schepers contrasts what he calls "the Gospel's message of unconditional love" with "the experience of many queer people". This contradiction calls Catholics "to repent".
Looking to the global Church, Bishop …Yana

Jeremiah's Warning Still Echoes Across America
The prophet Jeremiah, who wore a yoke to symbolize Israel’s subjugation under Nebuchadnezzar, warns against false prophets who offer false hope. Fr. They caution against rebellion against God’s will, urging a return to obedience and prayer.

"Preserving the Liturgy Is Part of Preserving the Faith" – Bishop Schneider

"Preserving the precious treasure of the traditional liturgy is part of preserving the Deposit of Faith," Bishop Athanasius Schneider said in his homily on August 2 in Limerick, Ireland, at the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
He is currently celebrating Mass and delivering talks in various locations across Ireland, including Cobh, Leixlip, Monaghan and Ardee. Previously, he was in Africa. In July, he led the golden jubilee celebrations of the Congregation of the Mothers and Missionaries of the Holy Cross in Puma, Tanzania.
Interfering with the Liturgy Destroys Religion
In Sunday's homily, Bishop Schneider recalled that "history has proved a thousand times that there is nothing more dangerous for a religion - nothing more likely to result in discontent, unrest, division, and apostasy - than interference with the liturgy and, consequently, with religious sensibility."
He recalled the apostolic rule: "Antiquity was retained. Novelty was rejected." Quoting Dom Prosper Guéranger …Yana

"To Feel Like a Woman Is Not to Be One" - Caribbean Bishops

The Antilles Episcopal Conference published a Pastoral Letter on Sexual and Gender Identity on 26 July (full text below). Main quotes.
- We must resist narratives that suggest the human person is a self-made project, detached from biological reality or moral order.
- The human body is not an accessory to identity.
- The confusion of our times - driven by ideologies that detach the body from identity, treat desire as destiny, and blur sexual difference - compels us to offer the light of the Gospel and the wisdom of Christian anthropology.
- The body is not a barrier to identity but a revelation of it. It is through our male or female embodiment that our unique personhood and our capacity for relationship are revealed.
- It is a scientific fact, not a social construct, that human beings are sexually dimorphic.
- Sex, then, is not arbitrarily 'assigned' at birth; it is determined at conception through the presence or absence of the SRY gene. If activated, the gene initiates the development …Yana

The Antilles Episcopal Conference has published a Pastoral Letter on Sexual and Gender Identity on the 26 July. They state that, “We must resist narratives that suggest the human person is a self-made project, detached from biological reality or moral order. The human body is not an accessory to identity.” The Antilles Episcopal Conference further stated that, “Sex is not a spectrum. It is a binary reality, inscribed in our nature, affirmed by biology, and upheld by faith.” And that: “A person may say, ‘I feel like a woman’ or ‘I feel like a man,’ but such feelings, however sincere, do not define reality. To feel like a woman is not to be one. Feelings are not facts.”

Leo XIV Ordered Anti-Mass Document and Approved Wording - Report

Leo XIV approved Cardinal Arthur Roche's text against the Traditional Latin Mass, reaffirming Francis' Traditionis Custodes, reports LaRazon.es on August 2. The text was distributed to about 170 cardinals at the January 7 consistory.
Key phrase: "This newspaper has been able to confirm that the cardinal distributed the text at the request of Leo XIV and therefore with the Pope's approval of its contents."
According to the newspaper, Cardinal Roche and officials from his dicastery drafted the document at the Pope's request.
Leo XIV then personally reviewed it.
"He did not change a single comma," Vatican sources said, adding that "the distribution of the document to the cardinals was intended to make the new Pope's position on this issue visible."
The one-and-a-half-page document defended Traditionis Custodes, describing Tradition as a "living river" rather than a static preservation of past forms. It claimed that the Novus Ordo is fully consistent with authentic Tradition.

German Diocese Distances Itself from Retired Priest: "March of Perversion"

The retired Catholic priest Rev. Winfried Abel, 87, of the Diocese of Fulda, Germany, has come under criticism after publishing a letter (article's picture) in a local newspaper criticizing comments made by Berlin Archbishop Heiner Koch about the city's homosexual march.
The letter was written in the aftermath of the Islamic terrorist attack in Berlin, in which a man drove a van into participants of the annual homosexual march, killing one woman and injuring dozens.
Priest Against "Public Glorification of Perversion"
Archbishop Koch had described the homosexual march as "a joyful and moving celebration." Rev. Abel replied: "A Catholic bishop therefore calls the parade of shamelessness and the public glorification of perversion a 'joyful and moving celebration'?"
He asked: "Have the shepherds of the Church not been entrusted with the prophetic mission of interpreting such events in the light of the Gospel?"
While unequivocally condemning the terrorist attack, Rev. Abel argued that Christians …Yana

From Failure at EWTN to Vatican Communication Reform? This morning, Leo XIV received the new Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication, the divorced Zionist Maria Montserrat Alvarado, in audience. During his pontificate, Leo XIV has met the current Prefect, Paolo Ruffini, only rarely and has not held private audiences with other senior Vatican communications officials, including Matteo Bruni, Andrea Tornielli, and Andrea Monda, seeing them only at public events. Alvarado will officially take office in November. Last year, her effort to consolidate EWTN's international news operations under a single EwtnNews.com platform did not achieve its intended goal. The project remained English-only and failed to become the successful international news site originally envisioned.

Leo XIV accelerates Vatican communications shake-up: Alvarado meeting signals change at Palazzo Pio

The future head of the Dicastery is already working on its most sensitive dossiers ahead of formally taking office in November. This morning, the Holy Father received Dr Maria Montserrat Alvarado, Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication, in audience. Leo XIV’s decision to meet her so promptly, as plans are being drawn up to reorganise the Holy See’s communications operation, is significant. In more than a year as Pope, he has received Paolo Ruffini only rarely and has never held private talks with the other leading figures in Vatican communications, including Matteo Bruni, Andrea Tornielli and Andrea Monda, whom he has met only at public events. Alvarado has come to Rome to begin the handover ahead of formally taking charge of the Dicastery in November. In recent days, she has visited its various offices, spoken to staff and begun looking into a number of matters on which she had already been given detailed briefings. From the outset at Palazzo Pio, she has sought explanations and …

"Sinful War Over Liturgy" - Cardinal Sarah

"The Church is, at least in the West, in a time of great difficulty, even of confusion, both at the doctrinal level and at the moral and disciplinary level", Cardinal Robert Sarah told IlFoglio.it on August 2.
For Cardinal Sarah, it is "a tragedy, indeed a real and proper sin", that there is "a kind of war" and "fierce conflicts" over the liturgy.
Main quote: "No one has authority over the rites, which arise from the centuries-long history of the Church. The rites cannot be arbitrarily abolished, and no one can say that a rite no longer exists from one day to the next."
The Cardinal wants to return to Benedict XVI.'s Summorum Pontificum, which allows the Mass in the Roman rite alongside the Novus Ordo: "Over the decades, the holy people of God will be able to choose which form best corresponds to their need for faith, silence and spirituality."
He added: "Some excesses on the part of those attached to the extraordinary form are, in part, justified by the dramatic and widespread abuses …Yana

The Cure of Ars (St. John Mary Vianney) Shows How You Can Benefit From Your Suffering

by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Le Curé d'Ars offrant la nouvelle église à sainte Philomène
The book The Spirit of the Cure of Ars by Fr. Alfred Monnin contains the catechism classes, homilies and conversations of Saint John Vianney. One passage speaks about how to see suffering as a privilege. The Cure of Ars says:
Some people do not love God or pray to Him, and yet they prosper. When this happens, it is a bad sign. It means these people did a few good things amid many bad things. God rewards these small good deeds in this life. Sometimes, we say that God punishes those He loves. However, this statement is not always true. For those whom God loves, trials are not punishments; they are graces.”
Suffering as a Means of Approaching God
This passage summarizes the great principle of Catholic doctrine that suffering is an indispensable means of approaching God. It is indispensable for two reasons.
The first is because God wants us, for the good of our souls, to complete that small bit of …Yana

Spain’s Largest Wildfire Forces Augustinian Nuns to Evacuate Historic Monastery | SG News
A devastating wildfire is sweeping across the Spanish province of Ávila, forcing the evacuation of the Augustinian Sisters of the Monastery of the Conversion in Sotillo de la Adrada. The blaze has burned more than 120,000 acres, making it one of the largest wildfire emergencies Spain has faced in recent history. As firefighters continue battling the flames under extreme weather conditions, the sisters have found temporary refuge at the Saint Ildefonso Convent in Talavera, where they continue to pray for all those affected. In response to the crisis, the Diocese of Ávila has opened its seminary and retreat houses to shelter displaced families, parish priests, and others forced to flee their homes.
