Profile
Records dating from the reign of Paul II relate that the picture of Our Lady, at first called La Madonna del Paradiso and now better known as Madonna del Buon Consiglio, appeared at Genazzano, Italy, a town about twenty-five miles southeast of Rome, on 25 April 1467, in the old church of Santa Maria, which had been under the care of Augustinians since 1356. The venerated icon itself, which is drawn on a scale of wall-plaster a little thicker than a business card, was observed to hang suspended in the air without support; early tradition says that one could pass a thread around the image without touching it. Devotion to Our Lady in Santa Maria sprang up at once. Pilgrims began to pour in, miracles began and continue at the shrine.
In July 1467, Pope Paul deputed two bishops to investigate the alleged wonder-working …More

Miracolo: Genazzano, Roma, 25 aprile 1467

Leo XIV Rumored to Prepare Excommunication of FSSPX

Pope Leo XIV has "decided to follow the '1988 jurisprudence'" with regard to the episcopal consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) on 1 July, reports Rorate-Caeli.Blogspot.com on 25 April, referring to anonymous Roman sources.
This means: "He is said to have already had a decree prepared that is similar in tone and content to the one promulgated by Pope John Paul II through Cardinal Bernardin Gantin, Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, on 1 July 1988."
The decree would declare the excommunication of the bishops involved, denouncing these episcopal consecrations as a "schismatic act".
Excommunication of entire FSSPX ?
Other Vaticanists have confirmed the core of the rumour.
Niwa Limbu (Catholic Herald) reported on X.com that the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith is "preparing for the possibility of excommunicating the entire FSSPX, not just the bishops".
Nico Spuntoni (Il Giornale) wrote that the Dicastery is "preparing for the possibility of a schism …More

"Kwasniewski’s program for a new Church constitution (after years of heavy hints) has finally seen the light of day as a Manifesto translated from German and heavily inspired by Georg Hegel. This turgid text might only be closely examined by those sympathetic or scandalised enough to be bothered (it’s a pity Luther is not around – he could have helped with the prose), but it leaves one thing clear: Kwasniewski is no traditional Catholic....It is also for the reader to fathom how Kwasniewski’s declaration of neutrality1 concerning the SSPX consecrations can be reconciled with his total support for a Manifesto centred on condemning these consecrations and ridiculing their justification."

The high church modernist Synodal Way to “complete” Vatican II - Pax Orbis

Vinicius returns to the theme of High Church Modernism (see previous articles here and here) – that incoherent ideology found among many influential ‘traditionalist’ commentators but which is in fact a blend of occult mysticism, Vatican II ecclesiology and the rejection of the decrees of the dogmatic First Vatican Council.
by Vinicius
For Gallican “reformers” the Catholic Church has been all wrong for most of the last thousand years. Their unoriginal solution (in view of Lutheranism, Gallicanism, Anglicanism etc) is to go back to the “early Church”.
Writers like Peter Kwasniewski, Sebastian Morello, and Tim Flanders can’t be sure exactly what period has to be dusted off or what this means; the only dogma seems to be anti-papalism and open-ended radical change to the constitution and even doctrine of the Church.
Traditional rite Catholics who endorse the unorthodox novelties and equivocations in Vatican II texts have been thrown completely off-balance by the Society of Saint Pius …

Leo XIV Appoints Coadjutor, 54, Amid Accusations Against Cardinal, 59

Today, Pope Leo XIV has appointed Jesuit priest Joseph Samedi, 54, as Coadjutor Archbishop of Bangui.
The appointment places Fr Samedi alongside Cardinal Dieudonné Nzapalainga, 59, who is only five years his senior.
Background to the Appointment
Cardinal Nzapalainga has led the Archdiocese of Bangui since 2012 and was made cardinal by Pope Francis in 2016.
He rose to international prominence for his interfaith work during the Central African Republic’s civil conflict, particularly through the 'Plateforme des Confessions Religieuses de Centrafrique', a coalition of Christian and Muslim leaders promoting reconciliation.
In recent years, however, local and regional reporting has pointed to growing tensions between the Archdiocese of Bangui and the Nunciature in the Central African Republic.
The most sweeping allegations have come from journalist Jean-Paul Naïba, who accuses the cardinal of greed, financial misconduct, nepotism, and misuse of church-affiliated NGOs.

'The Revelations of Saint Bridget of Sweden'; ~ ‘About how Christ is likened to a mighty lord…’; Book I; Chapter 55

[Saint Bridget of Sweden/ Heliga Birgitta; XIV Century AD: aged 69-70; Uppland, Sweden/Rome, Papal States; Widow, Mystic; Spiritual Writer; Founder; Patroness of Europe]
Chapter 55
About how Christ is likened to a mighty lord who built a great city and a marvelous castle, signifying the world and the church, and how the judges and defenders and workers in the church of God have been changed into a bad bow.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “I am like a powerful lord who built a great city and named it after himself.
Thereafter, he built a castle in the city in which there were many rooms for storing all kinds of useful necessities. Then, when he had built the castle and arranged all his things, he divided his people into three groups, saying: ‘I am going away to a far away country. Stand firm and work manfully for my glory! I have made arrangements for your food and your necessities, and you have judges to judge you and defenders to defend you from your enemies. I have also arranged for …More

"The defenders of the church, who are the noblemen and knights, see my enemies and the attackers of my Church but do not care about it. They hear their words of blasphemy and mockery but do not care about it. They perceive and understand the deeds of those who attack my commandments and still bear them patiently. They behold them daily committing all kinds of mortal sins, as if they were allowed, and feel no compunction about it, but sleep and associate with them, binding themselves by oath to their company.
The workers, that is, the entire people, reject my commandments and withhold my gifts and my tenth. They offer gifts to their judges and show them honor and reverence in order to win their favor and goodwill. In truth, I can boldly say that the sword of fear for me and for my Church is thrown away in the world, and that a sack of money has been put in its place.”

In a massive anthill, everyone had grown so used to one little ant that they stopped seeing her as a living being—she had simply become part of the system. If someone couldn't finish their haul, she’d pick up the slack. If a tunnel collapsed after a storm, she was already there, clearing the dirt and shoring up the walls. When someone ran out of steam, she was the one they went to, because they knew she’d never say no.
At first, it looked like kindness. Then, it became a convenience. Eventually, it turned into an unwritten rule that no one even questioned.
Her readiness to help became as invisible as the air they breathed. Everyone just assumed: if something fell, she’d pick it up. If someone was late, she’d finish the job. If someone was struggling, she’d shoulder their burden along with her own.
But not once did anyone stop, look her in the eye, and ask: “How much do you have left in the tank?”
She stayed silent for a long time. She told herself she could handle a little more. That …More

Deacon Jack Sullivan On How St. John Henry Newman Healed His Paralyzed Spine
"My spinal cord was the size of a piece of string and could snap at any moment." Deacon Jack Sullivan shares the incredible true story of the miracle that led to the beatification of St. John Henry Newman. In 2001, Deacon Jack Sullivan was a husband and father studying for the diaconate when a debilitating spinal condition left him in excruciating agony and unable to walk. After a simple prayer to the then-venerable John Henry Newman, he experienced a "tremendous heat" and a peace not of this world. In this moving interview, Deacon Jack describes the eight-year Vatican investigation that followed, the moment Pope Benedict XVI declared his healing a miracle, and the subsequent "second miracle" involving a young boy in a vegetative state and a rare relic of the Saint. If you need a reminder that God still works wonders today, this testimony is for you. Key Highlights: -The Medical Impossibility: How Jack's compressed …More

He stressed that the Church continues to affirm “that the dignity of the person is not lost even after very serious crimes are committed.” In The City of God, Augustine of Hippo argues that legitimate public authority acting under just law may order death.

They have been influenced for many years by Pachamama spirituality and liberation theology. As a result, they genuinely believe much of what they promote and speak about.
The real issue is that they should never have been allowed anywhere near the Vatican, let alone placed in positions of authority at its very center.
Therefore, cardinals and bishops—who *should* know better—are an even greater concern.
Lukewarm Catholics are problematic.
Lukewarm clergy are even worse.
Shame on them.

Chris Jackson rightly wrote (Hiraeth in exile):
So what are we supposed to believe? That the Church “long considered” an attack on human dignity to be morally acceptable? That Scripture, the Fathers, the Doctors, the Roman Catechism, and centuries of Catholic rulers all endorsed something intrinsically contrary to the dignity of man until Francis, of all people, corrected the moral theology of Christendom?
